And the name – It is the founder’s name SParker (without the er) – because everyone needs a little Spark in their lives!
As founder of Spark Nibs ® Limited, I had little interest in vintage pens, but was very interested in the nibs and how they worked in a pen, including the phenomenal variation of sizes, shapes and functionality

Why Spark Nibs ®

The physics and mechanics became an instant fascination
There was a gap in the UK market for a UK made nib
The larger pen manufacturers – custom orders had to be in the thousands to have the option to self-brand a nib
There was little option for smaller companies or individual pen makers to have something other than the main manufacturers

Focusing on one size nib (6mm) to learn the lessons, before moving onto other sizes (5mm and 8mm).
